Two is happy to announce that we have been added to CB Insights’ sixth-annual Fintech 100 List - a showcase of the most promising private fintech companies of 2023! Previously a list of 250, this year’s list is reduced to 100 of the top Fintech companies around the world that are shaping the future of real-time payments, spend management automation, embedded finance, and more.
Who is CB Insights?
CB Insights builds software that enables the world's best companies to discover, understand, and make technology decisions with confidence. By marrying data, expert insights, and work management tools, clients manage their end-to-end technology decision-making process on CB Insights.
How did CB Insights pick the final 100?
Utilising their own platform, the research team at CB Insights selected 100 winners from a pool of over 19,000 private companies, including applicants and nominees.
They were chosen based on several factors including:
- Equity funding
- Investor profiles
- Business relationships
- R&D activity
- News sentiment analysis
- Competitive landscape
- Proprietary Mosaic scores
- Yardstiq transcripts
and criteria such as tech novelty and market potential. The research team also reviewed thousands of Analyst Briefings submitted by applicants.
Who else is on the list?
This year’s winners represent 24 different countries across the globe. Forty-three percent of the selected companies are headquartered in the US. The UK comes in second with 12 winners, followed by Singapore with 7. Additionally, some emerging markets stand out with multiple winners this year. For example, India has 3 winners, while Indonesia and Egypt each have 2.
Chris Bendtsen, Lead Fintech Analyst at CB Insights - “Together, these companies are not only increasing the pace of innovation, but launching new products and features to revolutionise the industry as a whole. I cannot wait to see what this cohort accomplishes next.”
Two CEO and Co-Founder Andreas Mjelde adds - “It’s great to receive recognition like this, especially on a global level. Our partnership with Santader and Allianz Trade earlier in the year allows us to offer our solutions to enterprise level businesses on a global level. And to be recognised by a US-based technology market intelligence platform for our capabilities is the icing on the cake!”
The recent win for Two has helped position us as leaders in the space of Nordic Fintech companies, representing the only Norwegian company on the list and one of two Nordic companies, joined only Swedish-based lending app Anyfin.
This news comes shortly after a recent win at this year’s Nordic Fintech Week, hosted by Copenhagen Fintech, where Two secured a win in the Growth category in the Nordic Fintech Awards.
